The new Ford Fiesta, Ford will provide more than great looks and better fuel economy than any car in its segment when it goes on sale in North America next year. The Fiesta 2011 - available in four body styles and five-door - also set a new benchmark for compact cars for their safety, connectivity and powertrain technology.
In fact, Fiesta American buyers offer a stylish selection of 15 new class-exclusive technologies and a projected fuel economy of 40 mpg, improving the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa and Toyota Yaris and Corolla.

When developing the new Fiesta, Ford made an extensive global customer research. The findings clearly indicated that the need was the main New Cars style of the individual all over the world. In Europe, throughout North America and Asia Pacific, customers seeking a distinctively designed small car that offers world-class quality, convenience, comfort and connectivity.
Fiesta was developed with customers, not only for them, "said Derrick Kuzak, group vice president for global product development. "The fuel economy and spirited performance and efficient use of space are universal desires, along the world's markets - and Fiesta's true."
The anticipated new Ford Fiesta comes to America with a high perception of the client, thanks to the Party movement. Kinetics and aesthetic

These subtle clues lead to familiarity over the portfolio, serving as a link between the distinctive aesthetic new Taurus, the Fusion medium fuel efficiency and the intrepid Fiesta.
The eyes of the face of the party are slim and elongated headlamps that frame and connect the box to a muscular front fenders, sculpted. Available body styles sporting five-door van or four-door sedan, Fiesta provides ample space for occupants and their belongings.
In the rear of the car, combines many design elements, including beveled glass rear door, lower the roof line that is stylized to a dramatic spoiler and rear lights with details honeycomb mounted high in the corners of the model hatchback. The muscular rear quarter panels, wrapped tight, draw attention to the wheels and confident stance of the Fiesta.
Fiesta's design is further enhanced with the choice of nine vivid new colors. From Bright Magenta Lime Squeeze through the Blue Flame, a wide color palette Party - more colors available than any competitor in the segment - instills a vibrant individuality.

Within the Party
Fiesta is as dramatic inside as outside. The surfaces of bold forms, contrasting colors and materials are comfortable and firm inside as unique as the driver.

Chest Fiesta seamlessly covers a DOHC I-4 1.6 liter with an estimated 119 horsepower and 109 ft.-lbs. of torque. The spirited performance and fuel economy are characteristic attributes of the Fiesta is expected to give best fuel economy in its class with 40 mpg.
The advanced 1.6-liter engine with Twin Independent Variable Timing Cam (Ti-VCT for its acronym in English) that will allow the engine to reduce its size for better economy while continuously optimizes camshaft phase to the response butterfly, performance and flexibility.
Great results are possible in a small package with several new technologies in this new global engine, including a new timing belt front-end accessory drive (FEAD by its acronym in English) with dynamic elastic to improve engine thermal dynamics. Fiesta has a five-speed manual transaxle with gear ratios selected to provide a strong performance to start and exceptional fuel economy for drivers who want three pedals and a gearshift lever to maximize the driving experience.
Struts, bushings, shock absorbers, stabilizer bars and a twisted beam rear axle specially adjusted to keep the party strong and firmly planted feet. Sporty driving dynamics European style prevails.

Automatically changes the game
A fully automatic transmission new industry-exclusive North American six-speed Powershift combine performance and fuel economy capable of a manual transmission with the convenience of a traditional automatic in a package advanced dual dry clutch.
"The leaders in fuel economy have traditionally been manual transmission models," said Pierro Aversa, team leader for transmissions. "Fiesta change the game by offering an advanced automatic transmission, Powershift six-speed provides maximum fuel economy."
The twin internal clutches PowerShift keep in constant engagement, always optimizing for maximum responsiveness and fuel efficiency, depending on the drive received from the driver's foot on the gas pedal.
This transmission "dry" operating with sealed internal lubrication, reducing friction and adding to the fuel economy of the Fiesta. The lack of pumps and hoses reduces the complexity under the hood, saves weight and also contributes to fuel efficiency.
PowerShift has been tested in the European market for Ford and redefine the expectations of American compact car segment by changes in responsiveness and fuel efficiency.

Power steering conserves fuel
For a dynamic road that inspires confidence, Fiesta has Electric Power Assist Steering (EPAS by its acronym in English) that reduces complexity while saving weight and fuel. This advanced system is speed sensitive - providing enhanced assistance based on speed, lateral forces and acceleration or deceleration.
Ford is changing EPAS aggressively in its entire line of products. The system is available in many Ford, Lincoln and Mercury, and by 2013 almost 90 percent of Ford offer this fuel-saving technology.
EPAS also includes Forward-Drift Compensation to assist Party to stand firm on the road regardless of the conditions of the road cross slope or side wind. In addition, active control of the quartet helps detect and compensate for irregularities in the wheel balance. Both features - enabled by EPAS - are unique in its class.

The control of NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) of the Fiesta takes a new comfort level for this segment, helped in part by a windscreen class exclusive special laminate was chosen to help absorb and contain noise. Engine noise is controlled by a cover of the box, with improved door seals that keep wind noise to a minimum.
Special pads behind the instrument panel and foam baffles mounted inside the pillars keep the party alone. Even the lining material was specified for its sound dampening qualities.
